There is nothing quite like live sport, the atmosphere at sporting events is fantastic. But let's face it, sports stadium seats were not designed with too much comfort in mind, they are hard and cold.

To make watching sport more comfortable.

When we sat down to discuss a solution to this problem, we thought it would be relatively simple, but we quickly discovered there were more variables than first thought.

Warm - it needed to provide good levels of thermal capacity, think Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh in winter.

Thickness - it couldn’t be too thick, making you feel as if you are balancing on a perch or interrupting the view of the person behind you.

Softness / Firmness - it had to be soft enough to be comfortable, yet firm enough not to compress so much as to lose its thermal capacity.

Flexibility - it needed to be flexible to adapt to the contours of differing seat profiles, and stow away easily in a bag or pocket for convenient transportation.

Weight - light enough to carry, yet heavy enough not to slide around or blow away in the wind.

Surface finish - one side needed to have a “grippy’ anti-slip finish, while the other needed to have a comfortable fabric.

Customisable - easy to print on so we could provide customisable graphics for teams, sports or sporting events.

Durability - we did not want a single use throw away product, it had to be hard-wearing so it could be used over and over again.

And finally…

Affordability - of course all this had to be available at an affordable price point.
